This is an aged version of a non-firing Japanese Matchlock rifle introduced by the Portuguese and used from the mid 1500's up until the earlier 1800"s.
It weighs approximately 4 lbs. and is 44" long with an aged brass and pewter finish.
Wooden stock.
Trigger and matchlock mechanism work on pistol.
Very nice replica with a lot of nice detailing.
Antiquing has been added to give it an aged look.
This is a non firing replica.
A different and unique take on a pirate or steampunk costume or a nice display item.
